All benefit changes are effective October 1st, 2021. Higgins Auto contributes 100% towards a Blue Shield Bronze plan for the employee only. All dependent contributions are paid by the employee. Higgins also contributes $500 annually toward the employee dental plan. Vision plan is voluntary and paid by the employee.
MEDICAL PLAN

The base plan is Blue Shield Bronze PPO 6250/70. Employee have the option to choose from 3 medical plans. Any costs over the employer contribution are withheld from your paycheck. The 3 plan choices are:
- Blue Shield Bronze PPO 6250/70
- Blue Shield Silver PPO 2400/55
- Blue Shield Gold PPO 750/30
DENTAL, VISION & LIFE COVERAGE
Higgin’s dental plan is a HMO plan where benefits are only available from in-network dentists. Higgin’s vision plan can be used at the provider of your choice. Vision plan participation is voluntary and costs are covered by the employee.
Higgin’s group life policy coverage is $25,000 on the employee. Policy is 24 hour coverage, with no exclusions, and free to the employee.

COLONIAL LIFE COVERAGE
As an employee at Higgins auto you can also enroll with Colonial life for accident, Disability, Critical Illness and Term life Protection. These are voluntary products and the costs are paid by the employees.

SAVINGS GROUP
In exchange for a fixed monthly payment/savings contribution, employee gains access to money that can be used right away for co-pays, deductibles, dental and vision expenses, chiropractic, etc. If you don’t use the plan, your contributions are completely refundable. The savings group is for all the things insurance doesn’t cover.
