BENEFITS HIGHLIGHTS
Learn all you need to know to prepare for open enrollment this year
NEWS AND UPDATES
​We are making the following changes to your benefits program effective January 1, 2022:
EMPLOYEE CONTRIBUTIONS:

A new “composite rating” system is being implemented to make selecting plans easier. Composite rates will replace the old 80% employer contribution, and 20% employee contribution from the previous year. Although the plans are rated different, the contributions are the same or better than they have been in previous years. This should make buying coverage more affordable for employees at Next Phase Electric.
BLUE SHIELD PPO OPTIONS:

​Next Phase is pleased to announce the addition of a few new medical plans, including the Blue Shield Gold PPO. This plan offers a full PPO nationwide network of doctors along with excellent coverage in the form of lower deductibles and co-pays. Families with young children and employees with chronic medical conditions should consider enrolling in the new Blue Shield Gold PPO plan
KAISER HMO:

Next Phase electric is now offering the Kaiser gold plan to its benefit menu. The new Kaiser Gold HMO plan offers great coverage at very affordably rates which will allow existing and new employees to “stay” with Kaiser. It’s important to remember that Kaiser offers no “out-of-network” coverage, so employee who enroll in Kaiser need to be familiar with the Kaiser HMO medical network.
HRA PLAN:

Remember, the HRA is the best way to pay for out of pocket medical, dental, and vision expenses; things like deductibles, co-pays, and co-insurance. Next Phase Electric contributes $500 annually to your HRA account and you can easily access your HRA funds by swiping your ISG Benefits Debit Card. With the addition of the Blue Shield and Kaiser Gold Plans, the Next Phase HRA plan has been reduced from its previous
size. The new annual contribution paired with the new plans, is still the most generous benefit offering in Bakersfield. If you do not have an ISG Benefits Card, please contact your benefits Advisor, Duncan Harris at 661-432-1474 or email at Duncan@Joinisg.com.

Open enrollment is October through November. We encourage you to contact your benefits advisor, Duncan Harris, to help your current benefits to ensure they are still in line with your needs. You must submit changes if you want to:
  • Enroll in coverage for the first time
  • Make changes to your current elections
  • Add/drop dependents from coverage
  • Participate in flexible spending account or dependent care accounts
If you do not submit changes during open enrollment, your current elections will roll over to the next year.
